Traditional Health Worker: Community Health Worker Doula Scholarship Program Through Gateway

Through the rural Transformation Scholarship Program, Gateway Doulas is building work forces of local DoulaCommunity Health Workers (CHW) in the Oregon Counties of Coos, Columbia, Josephine, and Wasco. 

This workforce of 5 CHW doulas will improve outcomes for patient clients by providing services in the local community through pregnancy, birth, and the first three years of their child’s life. This includes education, resource support, and caring connections with local families and healthcare providers.

If you are selected to join our team you will receive free training, mentorship, a paid stipend, and a direct path to employment with Gateway as a Community Health Worker and  Doula. No prior experience is required.  We are excited to support your innate skills and community knowledge in this unique dual role as a Community Health Worker Doula.
