Doula Services

How will my doula support me?

Our birth support includes a wide spectrum of services, including:

2 Prenatal visits (more as needed, if we are hired early!) A mix of in-person and zoom/live.
Identification of your support needs
Meeting with your care provider if desired
Unlimited phone/text/zoom consultations continually throughout pregnancy—from the time of hire to 6 weeks postpartum.
24 hour on-call availability during your due date range (4 weeks) from our Doula Team
Continuous birth support (doulas shifts are 24 hours, changing at 8 am)
2 Postpartum visits
Guaranteed team-based care (built in backup)
Ongoing support as needed and extensive referral services
Integrated childbirth education information as needed in prenatals.

PHYSICAL COMFORT MEASURES CAN INCLUDE:

massage,
labor positions,
hydrotherapy,
optimal fetal positioning,
aromatherapy,
acupressure,
deep relaxation and
visualization techniques.

Advocacy Includes:

helping to resource the community of birth services and
facilitating the birth plan into action.

Emotional Support

Our services are customized to the needs of the birthing family and their support team. Emotional Support is often defined by helping to create a birth plan that includes the birthing person’s unique communication style and gives them confidence in voicing their needs.

Payment Support

We offer support to all, no matter what your ability to pay is. We accept Private Pay, Medicaid, MODA, OEBB/PEBB Carrot & more.

Gateway Doula Group now has over 60 Traditional Health Worker Doulas that offer a full spectrum of support and culturally diverse care—including fertility, birth, postpartum, termination, grief, loss, and sibling support.

We don't want finances to be the barrier that keeps someone from getting the doula care they desire. We help everyone with a combination of insurance, sliding scale, pro-bono and on call services (Adventist + OHSU)

Payment preferred by on-file credit card. Additional options include check, Paypal invoice, expense account reimbursement, insurance coverage (assistance available), and payment plan.
