Doula Services

How will my doula support me?

Our birth support includes a wide spectrum of services, including:

  • 2 Prenatal visits (more as needed, if we are hired early!) A mix of in-person and zoom/live.

  • Identification of your support needs

  • Meeting with your care provider if desired

  • Unlimited phone/text/zoom consultations continually throughout pregnancy—from the time of hire to 6 weeks postpartum.

  • 24 hour on-call availability during your due date range (4 weeks) from our Doula Team

  • Continuous birth support (doulas shifts are 24 hours, changing at 8 am)

  • 2 Postpartum visits

  • Guaranteed team-based care (built in backup)

  • Ongoing support as needed and extensive referral services

  • Integrated childbirth education information as needed in prenatals.

  • Some insurance packages include 4 extended flex visits

PHYSICAL COMFORT MEASURES CAN INCLUDE:

  • massage

  • labor positions

  • hydrotherapy

  • comfort positions

  • aromatherapy

  • acupressure

  • deep relaxation

  • visualization techniques

Information/Advocacy Includes:

  • helping you find community resources

  • facilitating your birth plan into action.

  • amplifying your voice and preferences

  • collaborative care with your birth team

Emotional Support

  • reflective listening

  • meditation and deep relaxation

  • partner support

Payment Support

We offer support to all, no matter what your ability to pay is. We accept Private Pay, Medicaid, and private insurance.

Gateway Doula Group now has over 100 Traditional Health Worker Doulas that offer a full spectrum of support and culturally diverse care—including fertility, birth, postpartum, termination, grief, loss, and sibling support.

We don't want finances to be the barrier that keeps someone from getting the doula care they desire. We help everyone with a combination of insurance, sliding scale, pro-bono and on call services,
