Community has always been a big part of my identity, having been raised from a very tight-knit multicultural community which has contributed to my roles. I feel being a doula can help my community expand and grow, much of my knowledge/ experience I have seen BIPOC women be under-represented in all areas due to the complexities of our identities. Providing the support and advocacy for every maternity no matter of their background; gender identity, cultural heritage, income barriers, and many more. Empowering them every step of the way through guiding knowledge, compassion, patience, and stories that connect every infant and parent for a lifetime

I grew up with a lot of different cultural influences. My mom is Brazilian, my dad is American, I was born in the Philippines, and grew up in Mozambique and Malawi. As a result, I have become a cultural chameleon and love connecting with people from all over the world, which led me to getting my bachelor’s degree in International Studies and African Studies. I speak English, some Port

uguese, and Chiyawo, a language spoken in Mozambique, Malawi and Tanzania.

As a doula it is my mission to support each woman’s right to safely birth in a way that aligns with her emotional, physical, and relational needs and desires. I support birthing in whatever way the mother desires. I love providing comfort measures during labor, advocacy to assure that mothers can give truly informed consent, and resources to help throughout this amazing transition. I also specialize in unmedicated birth, VBACs, and births of multiples. When I’m not with a birthing person or a family welcoming a new member, I can be found discussing the intricacies of Minecraft with my twin boys, or twirling in my living room while my daughter sings that cool Disney song for the five hundredth time. My self care includes mindful yoga and extensive (though not necessarily practical) food gardening.

Spirit Medium

Clackamas, Multnomah, Washington, Marion, Clark, Skamania counties

The first time I heard of becoming a birth doula was while studying for my undergrad in Public Health. I had always been fascinated by birth, and learning that I could be invited to a birthing space to assist in such a tender way captivated me. Ushering a soul into this world is one of the most special and sacred events to ever occur. Assisting in that process is the closest one can get to heaven on earth. After the birth of my two children- one with epidural and one unmedicated water birth - I knew it was time to move into my real passion and I pursued birth doula training. As a medium, I knew that the nature of what I offer would be unique. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.uguese, and Chiyawo, a language spoken in Mozambique, Malawi and Tanzania.

Birth is the most ancient process imaginable. As a birth doula, there is nothing that I love more than witnessing, nurturing and empowering a woman on that journey. I originally felt called to this work because I was passionate about changing the fear-based narratives surrounding birth. 2 years ago, I embarked on a year-long doula training program in order to be thoroughly prepared for this path. Besides attending births, I host monthly pregnancy circles because I know the importance of building a community. I also lead Mother Blessing Ceremonies because I believe that birth should be honored as a rite-of-passage. When working together, I will help you prepare mentally, spiritually and physically for your labor. My goal is to help you feel confident, informed, and in-control of your birth experience to have an ideal birth as YOU define it.
